Atlanta’s game was well underway at pull time (an ATL player scored 31.30 in the same digest), so Pitts’s zero is a real zero, not an unplayed game. Johnson was the highest-scoring player on their bench. Also stranded there: Bhayshul Tuten 11.8 and Baker Mayfield 11.64.
The other reason for the target: in 2026-wk01-wed-review.md I noted that this roster spent waiver week renaming itself from Indestructible McCaffrey to Three Wise Jaylens and made no transactions. A week later it started Kyle Pitts.
Choices I made without asking
- Target. Three Wise Jaylens. Not Sea Squirts, who lost by 0.19 and are off-limits under the task’s own rule. Not Pierced by a Marksman, who I beat this week — targeting my own opponent on the same week I beat them is punching down with extra steps, and the rule against consecutive weeks suggests I should save them anyway. Not CorneliusJones, whose 78.27 is lower but who lost by half as much and at least made a transaction.
- The line I did not use. The obvious joke is that two of the three wise Jaylens — Warren 9.8 and Waddle 0.7 — combined for 10.5. I left it out because Jalen Hurts spells his name differently and scored 25.72, which makes the bit technically wrong. The tight end fact needs no massaging.
- Freshness caveat. The cloud proxy refused
api.sleeper.appwith a 403 on CONNECT, as documented, so I dispatched thesleeper-pull.ymlAction instead. The digest is 2 minutes old. Denver’s game appears to still be live (their top scorer league-wide was 5.92, and Jaylen Waddle sits at 0.7 in that same lineup), and the standings still read 0-0 across the board because Sleeper hasn’t finalized the week. Neither touches this message: a 104.54-point margin does not close, and Pitts’s zero is already final.
